Who we are
Somali Bantu Family and Youth Organization of Pennsylvania (SBF&YOP) in Erie, Pennsylvania was founded on March 2nd 2005, by a group of Somali Bantu intellectuals including women, elders, and the youth. Their main objective was to assist thousands of Somali Bantu Refugees who fled from the civil war of Somalia and currently being resettled in the United States. Read More

Our Mission
Our Mission is to empower, enhance and educate Somali Bantu Refugees and Immigrants in order for them to attain Economic, Social, legal and Emotional self-reliance.

Also is to build stronger and diverse communities by facilitating the social emotional adjustment and cultural transition. Our mission also includes training and educating refugees and immigrants to ensure that they can develop various skills and gain the opportunities to become self - reliant.
